 
Установка pptpd на Ubuntu Server 8.04
Установка
sudo apt-get install pptpd
Настройка pptpd
Указываем адрес ppp интерфейса - localip и диапазон адресов выдаваемый при подключение - remoteip
sudo nano /etc/pptpd.conf

Создание пользователей
sudo nano /etc/ppp/chap-secrets

Перезагрузка сервиса
sudo /etc/init.d/pptpd restart
Теперь можно в Windows настроить подключение по протоколу PPTP.
Подключения идет на порт 1723
